DUAL ENROLLMENT COURSE OPTIONS

9th GRADE DE COURSEWORK
  •  American Government
  • Biology plus the Lab (sometimes available to 9th grade students- Students would need to take the EOC)
  • Elective Courses
***9th grade students are limited on coursework options due to pre-requisites in core content areas. There is no DE equivalent for 9th Lit or Algebra 1. 9th grade students are limited to colleges who allow 9th graders to participate (ex. Gwinnett Tech)

10th GRADE DE COURSEWORK
  • World History
  • Physical Science plus the Lab (sometimes available) or Chemistry plus the Lab (sometimes available)
  • English
  • Elective Courses
***10th grade students are limited on coursework options due to pre-requisites in core content areas. There is no DE equivalent for Geometry. 10th grade students are limited to colleges who allow 10th graders to participate (ex. Gwinnett Tech)

11th GRADE DE COURSEWORK
  • US History
  • English
    • Please note that this course is taken out of sequence at the college level. Students will take College English 1101 and 1102 before they can take American Literature (11th grade Lit requirement). Students must still take American Literature as a requirement for graduation.
  • Science plus the Lab 
    • Ex: Chemistry or Environmental Science (Based on student pre-requisites)
  • Math (sometimes available)
    • If student has met the pre-requisites. It is recommended that students complete Algebra 2 at the high school before taking any college math course. College Algebra can count as the fourth year of math; College Pre-Cal can count as the third year of math. 
  • Elective Courses

12th GRADE DE COURSEWORK
  • Economics
  • English
  • Science plus the Lab
    • Examples: Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics, etc. Must not have already taken the high school equivalent course for it to count as 4th Science.
  • Math (sometimes available)
    • If student has met the pre-requisites. College Algebra or College Statistics can count as fourth year of math; College Pre-Cal can count as third year of math
